Heavy and Compact
The foundation of the Sinclair Competition Rest features a one-inch solid steel base plate with a durable granite powder coat finish. This design allows us to create a robust unit weighing over 30 pounds, while maintaining a low center of gravity and a footprint comparable to other tripod rests on the market. In fact, it is nearly twice as heavy as our closest competitor.
Mobile
Many shooting rests can be cumbersome and difficult to maneuver. We addressed this by incorporating a carry handle into the base plate for easy transport, making the Sinclair Competition Rest one of the most mobile units available, despite its substantial weight. No tacky handles or complex lifting methods are necessary.
Effortless Operation
The windage operation is seamlessly integrated into the base plate, featuring dual sets of twin tapered roller bearings for a smooth, non-binding experience. The oversized windage control knob is conveniently located near the rear speed screw, allowing for easy one-handed adjustments. With nearly four feet of windage adjustment at 100 yards, it meets the demands of any bench shooting discipline. Additionally, the oversized fluted handwheel provides smooth vertical adjustments with the help of a thrust bearing. A non-windage-adjustable model is also available for those who prefer to adjust windage off the rear bag.
Ambidextrous Design
This windage unit's unique construction allows for a fully ambidextrous setup, accommodating both right and left-handed shooters. The post, center column, controls, and windage adjustment can be disassembled and reassembled on the opposite side for complete mirrored use.
Hardware for Hard Wear
The Sinclair Competition Rest is equipped with upgraded hardware, including a reinforced center column (1.95" up from 1.375"), a threaded post (1" diameter up from ¾"), leg screws (½" diameter up from 3⁄8"), and a large diameter fluted speed screw. All components are crafted from high-grade stainless steel to endure a lifetime of use. Knob controls and handwheels are machined from aluminum, then anodized or powder coated for a durable grip surface.
Topping Perfection
The rest is completed with our Benchrest Top, featuring a new lockable forend stop assembly. This top accepts both Edgewood and Protektor front bags in sporter, varmint, and benchrest configurations. The adjustable lockable forend stop unit offers versatility in length (fore-aft), height, and cant. Our benchrest top is NBRSA and IBS approved for competition shooting. Additionally, the Sinclair Competition Rest is available with our All-Purpose Top, which includes our updated Sinclair-designed Edgewood Bag, easy-adjust lockable bag ears, and a new forend stop—ideal for Rimfire Benchrest competitions, particularly in Sporter Rifle Class.
Accessories
The Sinclair Competition Rest features mounting holes for aftermarket accessories, such as our Port Level Ammo Block, which allows shooters to adjust their tray of 20 rounds of PPC or BR as needed. Position it close to your rifle port for rapid shooting.
