About Us
A new name. A familiar company. A European story.
Our story began long before Odos had a name. It started with a passion for shooting sports, a commitment to the firearms community, and a simple idea: bringing the best products from around the world to European shooters, hunters and gunsmiths.
In the 1990s, our founder, Olav Aas, attended a gunsmithing school in Denver, Colorado, where he discovered high-quality tools and equipment that were largely unavailable in Europe. Recognizing this opportunity, he began importing these products and distributing them through a small printed catalogue in Norway.
What started as a modest operation grew into one of Europe's leading suppliers of firearms, parts, accessories and specialist equipment, serving customers across the continent.
Different names. The same company.
Our journey has taken us through several chapters. Until 2014, we operated as Midway Europe. From 2014 to 2026, we were known as Brownells Europe. Today, we are Odos.
Throughout all these years, one thing has never changed: we have always been a European company.
While the brands we operated under originated in the United States, our company was built in Europe, by people who understand the European market and its shooting community.
After decades of operating under American brand names, we believe it is time for our identity to reflect who we truly are and have always been.
That is why we chose the name Odos. A name of our own, representing our European roots, our independence and our commitment to building our own future.

Our team remains what it has always been: shooters, hunters and firearms enthusiasts who know the products we sell because we use them ourselves.
Our relationships with customers, partners and suppliers have been built over decades, and they continue under our new name.
Odos is not a new beginning from scratch. It is the continuation of everything we have built together, with the freedom to shape what comes next.

What is Odos?
The name Odos comes from the ancient Greek word ὁδός, meaning "way", "path" or "journey".
And that is exactly what we want to be: a path to responsible, legal firearm ownership.
We believe that legal firearm ownership, shooting sports and hunting are traditions worth protecting, supporting and passing on to future generations.
Our mission is to make that path more accessible. Whether someone is taking their first steps toward legally owning a firearm, discovering shooting sports, becoming a hunter or developing their skills as an experienced shooter, we want to help them along the way.
We believe that the future of our community depends on welcoming new people, removing unnecessary barriers and giving everyone the knowledge, equipment and support they need to participate safely and responsibly.
Our goal is simple: to protect, strengthen and grow the community of legal firearm owners across Europe.
