The Roughers are intentionally designed to be .010" smaller in diameter than the final size, ensuring they do not cut the throat area. This allows them to save wear on the Finish Reamer when multiple chambers are to be cut. If you're only cutting a few chambers, a Finish Reamer is all you need.
