Timney was asked to develop a more affordable trigger for budget‑build, AR‑style, semi‑automatic, magazine‑fed shotguns—without sacrificing quality. You asked, Timney delivered. Introducing the Impact SG, the latest addition to the IMPACT series, engineered specifically for AR‑style shotguns.
Timney’s engineers carefully designed every component to be precision‑machined, avoiding shortcuts such as metal injection molding or stamped legacy parts. Each trigger is still hand‑assembled and thoroughly tested by Timney’s technicians, ensuring the quality and reliability shooters expect—at a price point built for value‑focused builds.
All trigger components are machined from premium materials to ensure a lifetime of dependable performance. The trigger housing is constructed from an aluminum alloy and finished with a blue anodizing for enhanced resistance to weather and corrosion. The hammer is made from heat‑treated tool steel with a distinctive nickel‑plated finish to maximize lubricity and trigger performance. Both the trigger shoe and disconnector are also machined from tool steel, heat‑treated for durability, and finished in solid black for a smooth, consistent feel.
The Impact SG features a factory‑set pull weight of 3 to 4 pounds, delivering a crisp, clean break that enhances control and confidence with every shot.
