Description:

Enhance Your 1911's Performance with Precision Engineering

The 1911 Oversized Firing Pin Stop from EGW is an essential upgrade for ensuring reliable ejection in your 1911 auto. Crafted from machined steel, this firing pin stop is designed to be wider and thicker than the standard version, allowing for gunsmithing to achieve a tight fit.

Key Features:

  • Improved Extraction: The wider design helps keep the extractor face square to the case rim, enhancing extraction and feeding reliability.
  • Optimized for Major Power Factor Ammunition: The bottom edge is left square for final fitting, which aids in slowing slide opening and increases dwell-time.
  • Durable Construction: Heat-treated to Rc 48, with radiused corners that resist cracking, ensuring a long service life.
  • Material Options: Available in carbon steel with a tough black oxide finish or stainless steel with a natural finish.
  • Specific Fit: Series 70 is tailored for .45 ACP Colt Series 70 pistols and clones, while Series 80 fits 9mm/.38 Super/.40 S&W/.45 ACP Colt Series 80 pistols and clones.

Specifications:

  • Material: Carbon Steel (CS) or Stainless Steel (SS)
  • Finish: Black Oxide or Natural
  • Dimensions: .48” (12mm) wide, .65” (16.6mm) high, .133” (3.3mm) thick
  • Gunsmith fitting required for optimal performance

Upgrade your 1911 with the EGW Oversized Firing Pin Stop and experience enhanced reliability and performance on the range.

  1. The EGW O/S Firing Pin Stop is designed for a tight fit to improve extraction and feeding, with a square bottom edge for gunsmith fitting.
