The 1911 Beavertail Grip Safety by EGW is expertly machined from solid barstock and is designed for a true custom fit. This grip safety is left slightly oversized at critical points, allowing gunsmiths to tailor it perfectly to your firearm.

  • Wider Beavertail: The beavertail is wider than the frame, enabling it to be fitted to the frame rather than the other way around, ensuring a snug and rattle-free fit.
  • Custom Length: The overall length is longer at the bottom, with an angle designed to fill the gap between the mainspring housing and the safety.
  • Radius Compatibility: The radius measures .245", suitable for frames pre-cut to .250".
  • Precision Pin Hole: The pin hole is finish reamed to .158" to enhance fit and function.
  • Large Contact Pad: Ensures positive engagement when grasping the gun.
  • Compatibility: Specifically made to fit Springfield and Caspian frames.
